Inspiration comes from just about everything but in particular: cinema, maps, architecture, fashion and travel. This, combined with a love for exploring London’s rich history and culture, provides plentiful source material for my creative projects.
Other influences include: early London Transport posters, Art Deco arcitecture, Edward Hopper for his treatment of light and shade, Edouard Vuillard for intense patterns, and the industrial designs of Raymond Loewy and Thomas Heatherwick.
Originally from Wales, I moved to London in the mid ‘80s to study Graphic Information Design at Harrow. A graphic designer moving into web design in the late ‘90s, mainly for publishers, med comms agencies and commerce.
"My style is very graphic, with simple clean lines and areas of flat colour. This lends itself very well to working straight into Adobe Illustrator, making full use of the scalable vector style."
