Visual communication has an immense power in our society, and that's why creating images is a very exciting way to contribute to creating a better world. I am aware this sounds idealistic and even cheesy, but it is what encourages me the most to working as best as I can.
This is why I try telling stories that can make a positive difference.
That question society's guidelines in a critical and responsible way. Always with a spark of sweet humor, my natural way of communicating.
My drawings are in a naivistic style, creating a small and sweet world which my characters gladly and somehow comically inhabit. This helps me keep present the fact that, regardless of the amount of truth behind my stories, they are just stories, and I am the one telling them, on my own terms (in my own world).
The techniques I use the most are digital, ink and watercolor. I often sketch with ink-pen first. Pens, unlike pencils, don't allow to erase your mistakes. You are bound to keep your mistakes alive. And many times, things I would have liked to erase, become something I appreciate and keep in the end result.
"My drawings are naive in style, creating a small and sweet world which my characters gladly and somehow comically inhabit. "
I have always been passionate about drawing and telling stories, but until recently, I had never realized the full potential of it.
